Operations
MedLink EMS operates a wide variety of units, and here's what each unit does.
Basic Life Support Ambulances
BLS Ambulances provide EMS care and transportation. Assisted by the Medic Units, Ambulances form the base of MedLink's operating capability.
Advanced Life Support Medics
ALS Medics provide higher-level EMS care and transportation. A Paramedic is always onboard the rig, who is available to provide specialized procedures.
Tango Trucks
The Tango Units are run by the Special Operations Division. Each has a designated role at emergencies, and are used to supplement the emergency response.
EMS Sprint Unit
The Sprint Unit is an ALS first response vehicle similar to the Squad. The Sprint Unit consists of two members per shift, one or both of whom are Paramedics.
Squad
The Squad unit is a BLS vehicle used on non-transport EMS calls or during event standbys.
ASAP
The ASAP is an off-road ambulance built on a 6x6 UTV chassis. It is used to reach remote areas, during severe weather, or during events.
EMS Supervisor
The EMS Supervisor handles day-to-day responsibilities, as well as responding to critical emergencies. The Supervisor vehicle is ALS equipped.
